From May 23 to 26, 2023, the Open Aortic Surgery Course was successfully held as part of the 68th Congress of the Spanish Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery in Malaga, Spain. This prominent event brought together renowned specialists and vascular surgeons from across the country, providing an ideal environment to share knowledge and advanced techniques in the field of aortic surgery.

During these intensive training days, participants had the valuable opportunity to delve into the latest advancements and refine their skills in this crucial field of vascular medicine. The focus was on acquiring both theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as exploring the latest challenges and solutions in aortic surgery.

Furthermore, as part of the program, the thrilling EUROPEAN TRAINEE CONTEST was held in collaboration with the European Vascular Surgeons in Training (ESVS), where participants engaged in performing simulations of bypass and carotid surgery using state-of-the-art Simuvasc simulation models. These simulations allowed contestants to practice and enhance their surgical skills in a controlled and realistic environment.

The incorporation of Simuvasc models in this contest enabled participants to immerse themselves in practical and challenging experiences. Through these realistic simulations of bypass and carotid surgery, contestants had the opportunity to refine their surgical skills, explore different approaches, and confront complex situations in a safe and controlled setting.
